A Dunedin Press Association telegram records t!he death of Mr Julius Hyman, an old Dunedin resident, who was for many years president of the Jewish congregation there. The death is announced at Wanganui last week of Mr Edward Brady, youngest son of the late Mr John Brady. Mr Brady was a former student of St. College, and was well-known in Wellington. Mr Peter Eadie, of the staff of the New Zealand Farmer, is at present oh a visit to Masterton. The remains of the late Mr J. H. La Roche were interred in tire Masterton ' cemetery yesterday afternoon. The funeral cortege was large and reprerentative, and/testified to the high respect in which the deceased townsman was held. The friends of Mrs Wintringham, senr., will regret to hear that she is lying somewhat seriously ill at Masterton.
