REDUCTION ON LAST SEASON'S. The Shaw, iSavill and Albion lirw\ the New Zealand Shipping Company, and Tyser line, have arranged 4 be following rates for the Misaiig season:— 5-16 d per lb for greasy and ,7-lSd per lib for washed, plus 10 per cent, primage. This represents l-](Jd per I'b reduction in both cases, the rates last season being §d and J.ti. The ensuing season's rates are ajbout half the amount ruling in Australia- last season. For a I-ivg while the Commonwealth rate was §d per lb, and it went up to i{d. The local compaines in announcing the rates, add a proviso that in the event of a maritime .war fresh rates may be charged. The season commences a/t the beginning of November. . 1
