INTERESTING RESOLUTIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association. .WELLINGTON, L»st Night, The Agricultural Conference to-day passed the following resolution!:— That tlie Governmeaufc be asked to establish a plant-breeding and experimental farm in. the South Island; that where land of a suitable nature •and conveniently situated ds> offered to the Agricultural Department for experimental purposes by any A. and P. Association the Department be urged to subsidise the same £ for £ and provide a superintendent; thai the Government be <i sked to take active steps to keep down noxious ■weeds on Crown arid Native lands, and to offer further inducements for 'any .efficient means of eradication; thattihe Conference views with, alarm •the rapid and general, increase of raihbits* through waste and unoccupied lands of : the North Island immediately adjoining the East Coast raibibdt districts, and' urges the Department to insist on- more complete means' being taken to cope with the evident increase of tie pest.
