A PRECEDENT.
A precedent for the position which has arisen in the Masterton electorate was established at Ashburton three years ago. On; that- occasion there were three Opposition candidates and one Government candidate. At rthe .second ballot, the two defeated candidates worked loyally for the [remaining Opposition candidate 1 , and Mr W. iNos worthy was returned handsomely. .There is wo good reason why the experience of the Southern electorate should not he repeated in Masterton.
