He expressed himself greatly pleased with the King's grasp of Imperial affairs and his interest in the Dominions.
ATTEMPT AT TRAIN WRECKING
BRISBANE, August 13
A driver of the Sugar Company's tJreenhills tramway discovered an obstruction on the line, apparently placed there with a view to derailing i/he train. The points were also tampered with.
LAWN TENNIS
BRISBANE, August 13
In a tennis tournament, New South Wales beat Queensland, by fifteen -rubbers to five.
