MR MASSEY'S VISIT.
A KUCE SUCCESS.
Mr W. F. Massey, M:P., Leader of the Opposition, arrived in Masterton iby the mid-day train on Saturday. He was met at the station by the Mayor and a reception coanmittee, and, was driven in Mr T. Holland's handsome turn-out to the Commercial and Farmers' . Club, where, with a few friends, he partook of lunch. In the. afternoon he was driven to the iSolway Showgrounds, with, which he was greatly impressed, and vas subsequently entertained v at anernoon tea at the Kia Ora rooms. After his speech in the Town Hall, Mr Massey was entertained at supper at the Commercial Cull/, where between thirty and forty friends were • assembled, and where the toast of his health .and that of •the/Opposition > were'honoured. . Yesterday afternoonlie wus' motored to the Waingawa freezing works and other places of interest.' : ' x . Mr Massey, accompanied by . Mr" ,W. ■Nosworthy, M.P., leaves for J ahiatua by the mid-day train to-iay. ±lO will get off at Eketahuna, ar.u, after spending an hour there, will motor through to Pahiatua
