PALMERSTON STOCK SALE

PALMERSTON N., Last night,
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At our usual sale today we had a good entry of both sheep and cattle, which met with, a | ready sale. Sheep were in good de-* Iftand, and every lot changed hands under the hammer. Cattle sold freely at late rates. : ,'.. We quote:—§oo 2, ;4, and 6-tooth ewes in lamb, i3s 7(1; i 2-tooth ewes, in lamb, 13s; aged ewjes in- lamtylOs 9d? wethers, 13s; hoggets.i 9s 9d to9s lid: cull ewes in lamb, 5s 6d, 6s Id to 7s 7d. Cattle:
2-i- to 3-year steers, £5 10s; empty cows, £2 to £3 0s 6d; dairy cows, £4 to £8 10s; bulls, 275.
