JOHNSONVILLE STOCK SALE

JOHNSONVILLE, Last Night, Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report <m their Johnsonville sale as follows : —A good yarding bullocks and a heavy one of sheep came forward, and met a ready sale. Prime heavy bullocks realised £lO los to £ll 2s 6d; prime medium weights, £9 12s Gd to £10; light, £8 12s 6d to £8 17s 6d; vealers, 27s 6d; prime heavy wethers, 22s 6d; prime wethers, 19s 5d to £1; extra prime heavy ewes, £1 2s 9d to £1 4s 6d; prime ewes, 18s Gd; good medium ewes, 16s 6d. PAHTATUA STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as folows : —We offered a good yarding of both sheep and catle. All classes of sheep were in keen demr.nd, and showed a marked advance. Good dairy stock also sold exceptionally well! Quotations. —4-year old ewes in lamb, 13s 5d to 13s 9d; 4 and 5 vear ditto, 10s 5d to lis 3d; others, 6s 10d to Ss id; fat ewes, 15s Id; good hoggets, lis 7d; others 8s Id; good dairy cows. £5 10s to £9; cows "in calf, £3 7s Gd to £4 ; .springing heifers, £5 17s 6d, £7, to £9; yearling heifers, £2 to £2 10s; 18-month steers £3 9s to £3 10s; weaners, small, 21s to 245. MASTERTON STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on their weekly sale at the Solway yards yesterday as follows:—The yarding in sheep embraced all classes. The quality generally was only secondclass, and under these conditions .sales were hard to make, the unsold lots being poor-conditioned ewes. In cattle our entries were beef of good quality, station yardings, and dairy stock. The quality being good, we effected a clearance at very satisfactory figures. Fat ewes made 14s lOd to 15s; forward ewes, 9s to 10s; culled sorts, 5s to 6s; store wethers, 13s Id; hoggets, medium, 9s to 10s 6d; small, 7s; ewes in lamb, poor. 8s 6d to 10s. In beef, prime fat heifers and cows made £6 12s 6d; fat cows, £5 17s 6d; station yearling steers, £2 17s 6d; heifers, 355; best dairy cows, £7 10s; others, £6; aged, £4.
