THE MASTERTON SEAT.
It is stated\on fairly reliable authority that the iGovornment does not intend putting forward , a candidate for the Masterton seat in opposition to Mr A. W. Hogg. Ministers, it is ■said, do not mind how much, Mr Hogg reviles or •criticises them, bo long as he votes right on no-confi-dence motions,. It would be interesting to fcnow % , however, whether Mr Hogg has given an undertaking to vot& right all the time. It is exceedingly improvable that he Ilia®. If he has not, MinrJst'ers may find him a rather awkward nut to crack.
