If he can iriduce Parliament, to .review the whole system of Protection, 'wMch he has Mmself, unhapipily, played a not unimportant part .in building up, he will deserve well of Ms constituents. Protection is run mad in this country, the only persons to benefit by it being the middleman and the isipendthrift Government.
