IKAROA MAORI LAND BOARD.
SITTING IN MASTERTONi
A sitting of the ifcaroa District; Maori Land Board, consisting of MrJ. B. Jack (President), Mr E. Nicholson (member), and L. A. Teuteniberg (cilerk), -was held at the Mastertoii Courthouse yesterday. An application for confirmation of a lease of the interest of Ataria Punua in Gethsemane No. 7 D. to Jas. : Green, was approved. The Board also confirmed a resolution passed <at a meeting of owners', of Motuwaireka No. 3 Block, held under the provisions of Part XYII1.; of ithe Native Land Act, 1909, that;the.land be sold to Ann Eraser at aprice of £5 per acre. The following applications were adjourned 'to the r next sitting of the Board:— Plukengaki IA, No. 2y. transfer to Emily Jury; Pukengakt No. 11., transfer to Eachuel Burch; Awiaawaroa, No. 1, Sub; lj transfer, to Martin Elgar. s An •application for the precedent consent of the Board 'to a proposed sale of Pukengakd No. 16 to Blanc-he, Jury iwas also \adjourned. An adjourned meeting of owners under Part XVIII. of the Native Land Act, 1909, was held to further consider the offer made by the Crown* to purchase certain subdivisions of the Waitutuma Block. The owners resolved to sell to the Crown at the following priced:— Waitutuma block, (4800 acres), 10& per acre; Waitu•tuima Block, lA., No. 7, (7772 acres) 27a 6d per acre,; Waitutuma, 18. (200 acres), 225. 6d \per acre. As thes& rprioes are in excess of the Government's offers, they will be referred # 'back for .the consideration of the Native Land Purchase Board. v
