The Hon. D. Lloyd-George, in a letter to the South Wales Calvanistic , Methodist Associations states that clergymen come within the provisions of the Insurance Bill, either compul- ; sory or voluntary, the former if under contract, of servicse and receiving , a Hilary not exceedhig £1(50. . Mr Lloyd-George, in the House of Commons, ewid that if it was found ! that hospitals were seriously"endanger- , ed by the operation of the Insurance Bill it would be the duty of the Government to find a remedy. He acoeupted Mr Addison's amendment ! transferring the administration of medical benefits from approved societi ies to local health committees. Mr Addison declared that doctors ; objected to a contract practice, and the prospect of its extension throughout the country was viewed with 1 alarm. His amendment would be re- ! garded as a fair settlement of the difi Terences between societies and doctors.
