MASTERTON RACING CLUB.
MEETING OF STEWARDS
A meeting of the Stewards of tho Maisterton Riaeing Club was held yesterday afternoon, there being present : Messrs C. J l '. Vallance (chairman), F. E. Dorset, A. J. Welch, J. Macara, W. Cooper, C. J. Bennett, G. H. Yates, J. Wlbittaker, (). C Cooper. J. loms, D. McLachlan, and A. G. Pilsner. The secretary formally reported the result of the election for Stewards. Mr O. C. Cooper handed in his report in connection' with the business done at the Racing Conference. A letter was received from Mr L. G. West, of Ptalmerston North, stating that he could not find the plans of the new stand and improvements to the course. The secretary was insinuated to ask Mr West to come ito Mastertcn and confer with.a committee consisting of Messrs Dorset, Welch, Pilmer, Macara, McLachLan, lorns, Buick, W. Cooper, Moodie, and the chairman- with regard to the ■plans for the' appointments oh the Op-aM'course. The Christohureh Press Company wtote statiaig that the New Zealand Turf Register would shortly be printed.— It was decided to obtain a copy of the Register. Mr J. Cress tendered his resignai tion. as a member of the Club.— Ac- [ cepted. i Knox and F. E. Buhner were | recommended, for a trainer's license ! and an apprentice's license respectively. ... ■ The Treasurer l-eported the Racing Club account to be; in> credit £231 3s 3d., and the totalisator account in I credit £6O.
