AN EXPERIMENTAL PLOT.
Some months ago Mr William Perry, ,of the Taratah'i, offered ten acres of land in the firont of he® property as an. experimental plot. So £a.r, nothing has been done to take advantage of this generous offer. The matter is really one which concerns !the Agricultural Department. The experiments made' at MoumahaM are interesting in their way. Tlie -liv. motic and soil conditions vary so mrnch, however, that experiments which! are sfuccessfiul in Taranaki may be a. failure in, the Wairarupa. The Department would be an excellent -service if it were to conduct experiments' in each: of the important districts l of the Dominion.
