WAIRARAPA CALEDONIAN SOCIETY.

MEETING OF DIRECTORS. The ordinary-monthly meeting of Dirifetors of the Wairarapa Caledonian Society was held in the Dominion Hall on Saturday last, Mr Alex. McLeod (President), in the chair. \ Correspondence was read and dealt With, and accounts amounting to 27 17s 9d were pased fsor payment. Sixty-eight new members were elected amidft apolause. This establishes a record for the Society: It was decided that for the nefct fortnightly "Pleasant Evenine." the .•Society enframe the Drill Hall for Thursday. 3rd August, and that the charge for non-members be 2ls each. It was decided tljat a donation of £1 Is be voted to the Y.M.C.A. in recognition of t>heir it kindness in lending' chairs for the, last; concert. Several members spoke in eulogistic terms *>f the work being done by the Association, which, they considered should be better supported by the townspeople generally.
