A recent examination of certain dairy herds, in the neighbourhood of Masterton 1 revealed the existence of a. state of affairs which is by no .means ro-assuring. Is the milk supply of Master ton being drawn from healthy herds? How long is it .since these herds were inspected ? Are the seeds cf consumption .being sown-'broad-cast in the community P These are questions which must at once present themselves. The public wo.uld be glad of an assurance from the District Health Officer that there is no cause for uneasiness.
