It is satisfactory to know from the Acting-Prime Minister that the Government is prepared with its Bills, and will go right on with the business of the country from the opening of the session on Thursday next. What the special nature of the Bills is, nobody seems to know. This will .proibaibly be disclosed in the Governor's Speech. The chief items in the Speech from the Thrne will, no doubt-, be a congratulation of the country upon its continued prosperity ; the unbounded satisfaction which is felt at the creation of so many Baronets and Knights; the brilliant (prospects which present themselves in the expenditure of rl-f f-ve nrliion loan,; the magnificent results whidh are 'being obtained from our defence scheme; and the successful manner in which our Native lands are being opened up!
