(Received July 18, 8.50 a.m.) LONDON, July 17. Sir George Reid, Who was seriously injured, in a motor collision at Broadstairs, passed a fairly quiet night. Miss Reid had a less favourable rest, but is progressing.; The King telegraphed from Edinburgh expressing his sympathy and hoping the accident had been less serious than the first reports indicated. (Received July 18, 9.20 a.m.) LONDON, July 17.' Sir George Reid was returning-from Church when the accident occurred. He pluckily took his daughter to the hospital and then proceeded to the hotel where he informed Lady Reid of the accident, and afterwards learned that his right arm was broken. Sir George Reid is suffering from , severe shock. His son sustained cuts • in the head and arm, and his daughter was jammed between the door and the car and was only extricated after the removal of the door. .
