KING EDWARD MEMORIAL.

(Receive d July 18, 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, July 17. The King Edward Memorial Committee has agreed to place a statue at the Piccadilly end of the Broad Walk in the Green Park. The Government, the King and Queen Alexandra approve of this, and also of the erection of a statue in the East End. The Advisory Committee appointel to obtain designs and select a sculptor proposed to select -the sculptor by competition. This proposal was rejected. -
