SCHOLARSHIP QUESTION.
Mr O. Pragncll has opened a wide and important in his resolution regarding the scholarship votes of the Masterton Trust Lands Trust. Under the original Trust Act the revenues derivable from the Trust acres must be expended for the benefit of residents ■within the Sim all Farm Settlement. The point is as to what constitutes - residence. If a child has lived three months in the district, does it become a. resident? If not, is it entitled to become a beneficiary under the Trust P The question is quite a legal one, and wall require to be decided as such.
