HOCKEY.
WAIRARAPA HOCKEY ASSOC IAT!ON, MEETING OF MANAGEMENT . COMMITTEE. A meeting of the management Committee of the Wairarapa Hockey Association was held in the Age office last evening. Mr J. Pryor occupied the ohair. Mr N. Boyd was elected to the Committee, vice Rev. Raine, resigned. The Ladies' As&ociawn were granted ipermi&sdon .to charge a.t the gate on the occasion of the St. Mat-thew's-ExcelsAor Shield match. It was decided to re-play the Mar-tinborough-Dalefield .match at Greytown, the date and referee to be arranged : by the teams conoeaned. Messrs Fisher, Hunter and Pragnell were appointed senior selectors. - It was. decided to' play trial matches as follow: July 27>th, at Carterton ; August 4:th, at Masterton; providing that arrangements are not made to play Manawatu on either of these dates.
The annual tournament is to be. played on the first available Thursday after the trial matches.
