CONDITIONS OF LIVING.
The Trades and Laibour Councils of Now Zealand are wrong. There is nothing the matter with the conditions of Jiving in this country. Rents are not too high, and wages too low. For Mr R. Hazleton, one of the Irish Envoys, speaking at- Gisborne on Saturday last, said:— "I must sav that, although I have visited many parts of itihe world, all over Europe, United States of America, Canada, and Argentine, during my vis.it to this country—and I have been in many parts—l have had the opportunity of istudying the institutions here, and I say in all truth and sincerity that I don't ;believe there is any country .in the world where the general conditions of living are as good as it'hey are in this Dominion of New Zealand."
