The Wellington Racing Club's winter meeting opened in glorious weather yestreday. The course was> -ny soft, and the attendance fair. Hector Gray rode two winners, and if now tie with " Whittaker for first place for the season. The totalisator investments' were £16,696, againr.t £11,052 for the corresponding day last year.
