LONDON WOOL SALES.
A BRISK OPENING

LONDON, July 11. The wool sales opened briskly, at pai to 7$ per cent, decline.
PRIVATE ADVICES
Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, have received the following cablegram from London: "Wool sales have opened. The attendance of buyers is large and competition is fairly animated. The selection comprises nearly all crossbreds. Fine qualities are lower by par to five per cent; medium qualities lower by five per cent.; and coarse qualities par to five per cent, lower. Merinos are unchanged." The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association, Led., have received the following advice: —"The fourth series of wool sales opened to-day, and were well attended by Home, Continental and American buyers. Fine crossbred sold at par to five per cent, decline, medium crossbred 5 per cent, decline, and coarse crossbred par to 5 per cent, decline, as compared with closing rates of previous sale." Abraham and Williams, Ltd., have received the following, under date London, 11th irist:—"The sales have opened with a good attendance of buyers, competition being middling. As compared with the opening rates of last series, merinos show no change. Fine,, medium, and coarse crossbreds from par to 5 per cent, down."
