The-King and Queen made another triumphal progress through Dublin, driving from the Castle to the ViceRogal Lodge, 'where they, inspected the. Royal Irish Constabulary. Thousands witnessed a review of seventeen thousand troops in. Phoenix Park. Eight hundred and fifty'theatricals and music hall artists gave a garden .party and fete in the Botanical Gardens, in aid of charities.
THE CAMORRA.
(Received July 12, ll a.m.) ROME, 11. The police at Naples attempted to arrest Grandullo, the successor to Errionee, as head of the Oamorrists. This led to a fierce conflict.' An inspector was killed, and a policeman was bludgeoned, and now lies in a critical condition. THE RECIPROCITY BILL. (Received July 12, 0.20 a.m.) WASHINGTON, July 11. Senator Cummins sought to amend the Reciprocity Bill in tihe Senate by increasing ffche number of Canadian manufactures to be admitted free. He was defeated' by 53 votes to 14 votes'. Senator Bailey offered an amendment, imposing a 25 per cent, duty on raw wool. ' Consideration thereof was postponed. Other amendments, which were'defeated, proposed .the free listing of iron, coal, woollen leather and silks. An amendment, giving power to President TaiPt to terminate the agreement when Canada abrogated her part thereof, was defeated. Senator Lodge insisted that Canada's good faith would prevent such a contingency. .

VIENNA, July 11. ; The newspaper -Zeit publishes a account of Tbirgut Shevket's' attempt to exterminate one Hundred thousand Albanian' Catholic (highlanders by cutting off their food supplies ,and destroying the flocks, which constituted their onlj capital. Torgut Shevlset has also forbidden sixbefett thousand unarmed Malissori tribesmen, who were wintered in the marshy littoral in the Bregumantira to leave the district. Consequently malaria is raging, and the flocks are dying from the effects of drinking tihe foul water lying stagnant in the marshes. ■ -
Mft CHAMBERLAIN'S BIRTHDAY. <\ : July 12, g.10.a.m.) IXMDON, July 11. 'Wie Eight Hon. A. J. Balfour, M.JP., Leader of the Opposition, sided at a banquet held: to celebrate Mr Joseph Chamberlain's birthday. A message was sent to the veteran statesman, assuring Mr Chamberlain of the whole-hearted determination of the party,- to carry through his policy of Imperial preference. Mi 4 Balfour said that the most favoured nation .treaties were going to cause, incomparable trouble to the British Foreign Office. Their abrogation would make the British Fireeitrade policy totally impossible. The 'statesmen of our great Dominions had begun to realise how extraordinarily tney were hampered by such treaties.
