MASTERTON FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
ANNUAL MEETING OF COUNCIL.
The annual-meeting of the Council of the Masterton Friendly Societies was held last night, in. -the Foresters' Hall, the President (Bro. Darroch) in the chair.
The aanual report ajid balance sheet .were presented, showing the Council to ho in a. good financial posi- : tion.
The election of officers for' the coming year' resulted as follows: Preriderit, Bro. D, Threadwell abitcs); Vice-President, Bro. Chap.man (Hibernians); Treasurer, Bro. Darroch (x oresters); Secretary, Bro. O'Regan (Hibernians). The matter cf holding tie annual social was held over, until next meeting.
'lt was decided to make arrangements for the annual picnic at an early date. The*.new delegates on the Council (Bros. Lambourne and Wooding), were welcomed' by the President.
