DIFFICULTY OVER GROUNDS. Owing to the shortage of grounds in the South Wairarapa, the Waira- i rapa Rugby Union is experiencing { a difficulty in arranging junior and third-class matches. However, the match committee have drawn up fixtures for.the next two Saturdays as follows: ' ; SENIOR. - ißed Star v. Masterton, at Masterton. Gladstone v. Carterton, probably at Carterton. JUNIOR. j July 15th.—Liberal v. Masterton at Carterton; referee Mr Roydhouse. j Red Star v. Dalefield at Masterton; referee Mr Harding. Carterton v. Greytown at Greytown; referee Mr Charters. July 22nd.— Liberal v. Carterton at Carterton; referee Mr Roydhouse. Masterton v. Dalefield at Dalefield; referee Mr Biggins. Greytown, v. Red Star at Masterton.; referee Mr Chapman. THIRD CLASS. July 15th.—Masterton v. Liberal, at Carterton; referee Mr Biggins. j Red Star v. Dalefield} at Dalefield; referee Mr Waterson. Carterton v. Greytown, at Greytown, postponed. 22nd. July.—Liberal v. Carterton at. Eearfnerston; referee Mr Widkens. Masiterton v. Dalefield at Masterton; referee Mr Adams; Greytown v. Red Star at Greytown; referee Mr Nicholls. Greytown v. Dalefield, and Greytown v. Carterton.—Grounds to be arranged.
The following will represent the Red Star juniors in their match against Dalefield, on the old Showgrounds, Masterton: —E. J. Wing, E. Mason, M. Welch, J. Hudson, A. Schofield, H. Morris, W. Gundy, J. Oonmell, B. Schofield, B. Syversion, J. Stalker, C. Schofield, C. Welch, T. Harris, N. Groves, V. Bocbman. The above- are requested to be on the ground at 2.30 sharp. The following will represent Star HI. against Dalefield, at Dalefield,. on Saturday next, the drag leaving at 1.15 sharp:—Bntnton, Riddell, Hoar,-Land, Golder, Wickens, Dixon, Troen, Williams, Olliver, Flanagan-, Pauling, McH-attie, Yates, Weller. Emergencies: Smith, Blaekman. The following''will represent Ma<sterton juniors in their match with Liberals, at oarterton, on Saturday:— W. Heggie, King, R. Norman, Nicholson, Pauling, C. Jones, N. My, T. McConviile, Pryor, Wagg, Masters, Elder, Billington, H. Jones, Moersch, Lamgdon, A. Jones. The drag will leave White',s' at 1.30 p..m. sharp. Players are requested to be up to time.
A match was played on Tuesday between tfhe School and Town boys, at-the S<&ool-grounds. The Town were 'easily the victors by 17 to 3. Tries were scored by McConville ( v >, C. Jones. (2), and McConville converted one, for the victors. Arthur Jones led the school a merry dance in the forwards.
