CARE OF THE TEETH.
Possibly there is no human responsibility which has a more important bearing upon the health of the community than that of the care of the teeth. Medical scientists admit that a large proportion of the illnesses to which .mankind is prone are traceable directly to the molar and the bicuspid. The Government of this Dominion, has been promising for years .that it will introduce a system whereby the teeth of the young will receive attention. So far, however, it has done nothing to redeem that promise. It is somewhat ironical that a Dentists' Conference should urge the importance of this subject. But the matter is none the less .serious on this account. Parents and .guardians ishould he taught, not only the necessity of having their children's teeth scientifically treated, | hut the measures which are necessary to preserve the teeth from disease and decay.
