OBITUARY.
MR ALEXANDER ANDERSON. Mr Alexander Anderson, one of the pioneer sefctlems, of Eketafliuna, died at the Lower Hutt on Thursday " evening, at the age of seventy-eight years. The late Mr Anderson wasengaged in farming at FJketahuna h '■\'' for many years. He also took a pro- *> mrinen* local body matters. He was chairman, of the Eketaihuiia Road Board for quite a long period, and was also a member of the licensing Benoih and County Council " "for*a'time. w "He was one of the promoters of the Eketafcama branch of tKe Farmers' Unripni, of which he be- " came chairman:, and was previously • President of the Eketahuna Fanni era' Club. He took a keen interest -"■ — an all public and social question®, ,' and was "a prominent worker in. the No-license cause. He had been; a Justice of t!he Peace for many years.
