MINISTERS AND SOCIALS.
The "Liberals" of the Wairarapa electorate are- playing the "social" game for all that it is worth. A "Liberal" social would not be complete unless a Minister of the Crown weire present. Sir James Carroll and Mr Ngata went to Carterton. The Hon. x. Mackenzie is 'going to Dalefield on Tuesday. The Hon. D. Buddo will probably be asked to visit Kaiwaiwai, the Hon. G. Fowlds Martiniborough, the Hon. J. A. Millar Greytown, and Feather ston will be left for either the author of "Humbugs and Homilies" or the Baronet himself. The Wairarapa people have quite a good time in ■store. Meanwhile, Mir W. C. Buchanan is touring the baokblocks and ascertaining the requirements of the people, while he is incidentally talking of Ministerial extravagance and humbug.
