MR J. J. DOYLE ENTERTAINED. Mi- J. J. Doyle, a guard on the > of .railways, wiho has been transferred to the Mercer section, in. the Auckland district, was entertained at a farewell social in the LodgeJroom of . the Hall in Master-ton last evening. : Thechair' : was' occupied by Mr Toogood. Gilbert.- A very pleasant gathering was brought to a close with the singing of "Auld Lang Sytne."
