THE CHAMPIONSHIPS. (Received This Morning, 1.10 o'clock.) LONDON, July 2. The Championships in connection with the Festival of' Empire, decided at the Crystal Palace yesterday, were as follows: — TEN-MILE CYCLING. Kingsbury (United Kingdom) 1 Denny (United Kingdom) 2 Scheider (New South Walei) 3 Taylor was sixth. Time, 25mm, 35 4-ssecs. Won by two lengths. 100 YDS. INTER-EMPIRE SWIMMING. • Hardwicke (N.S.W.) 1 Derbyshire 2 Johnson (Canada) & Time, 60 3-ssecs. ONE-MILE SWIMMING. Hodgson (Canada) , 1 Battersly (United Kingdom) ' ' 2 Time, 25min. 27 3-ssecs. Champion' led for eleven lengths, but then tired owing to a leg trouble. 100 YDS. INVITATION SWIM. Innocent (London) 9sces 1 Findlay, 4secs 2 Tartakover, ssecs 3 Woodsland was fourth and Haskint, fifth. Won by a touch. Time, 73 1-5 sees. HALF-MILE AMATEUR FLAT RACE. (At Stamford Bridge.) Braun, (Germany) 1 Wheatley (Victoria) "- Brock (Canada) 3 Time, Imm o9 4-ssecs. Won by sixyards.
