LAND SALE.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., of Maisterton, report as follows: According to advertisement appearing in the local papers, we offered at our rooms, Queen Street, Masterton, on Saturday last, the compact and. desirable farm of 242 acres in the Weraati estate, on account of the Executors in the estate of Robert Gordon Johnstone. The attendance at the sale was exceptionally large, and as soon as the property was offered it becaime evident that a number of buyers were out to do business. The bidding started at £2O per aore, and quickly rose to £25, eventually being knocked down to Mr W. B. Ohennells (agent of Mr John Moßae) at the satisfactory price of £25 10s per acre. We will be holding an unreserved clearing sale of stock on the property at a date to be advertised later.
