COW-TESTING ASSOCIATION.

The movement which is afoot to form cow-<testing associations throughout the Wairarapa is of very consider-

able importance to those engaged in the dairy industry. The idea., as suggested by leaders in the movement, is to form an association in connection with each Company, and to establish a central depot for cowtesting purposes. This would mean that many of the objections to the present system of testing would be removed, that managers would be relieved of a great deal of responsibility, and that the official tester would be a man of superior qualifications. The visit to the different con/fares this- week by Mr W. M. Singleton, of the Dairy Division of the Agricultural Department, will, it is "hoped, place the movement on a definite footing.
