A BRILLIANT GATHERING. AT HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. (Received Last Night, 10.48 o'clock.) LONDON, June 28. At a gala performance at His Majesty's Theatre there were included among the Royal guests, Ambassadors, members of Cabinets, the Hon. A. and Mrs Fisher, Sir Joseph and Lady Ward, and other Colonials and Indians. It was a brilliant gathering. The Theatre was decorated with red crosses of festoons, amid natural foliage. Mr Forbes Robertson delivered Owen Seaman's "Prologue of Welcome." Three hundred of the most prominent actors and actresses played scenes from the "Merry Wives of Windsor," "David Garrick," "The Critic," and "Julius Caesar," in which 240 supers (all stars') participated. The :gala concluded with Johnson's "Mosque," Madame Clara Butt singing the National Anthem. Their Majesties were accorded a great reception by the crowds in the streets.
