Ten Glasgow shipowners have agreed to pay the Trades Union rates, to recognise the Union, and to abolish the Shipping, Federation's medical examination. SUGAR STRIKE. (Received June 27, 8.5 a.m.) BRISBANE, June 27. A meeting of the Mackay district sugar farmers resolved to make a levy of threepence per ton on sugar cane to raise a fund to combat the strikers. The meeting also decided to employ free men. DOCKERS' STRIKE. (Received June 27, 8.5 a.m.) I THE HAGUE, June 26. i Two thousand dockers in Amsterdam have struck to support the seamen. RAILWAYMEN. (Received Ji;.ne 27, 8.5 a.m.) LONDON, June 26. The railway men of Hull have decided to join the seamen unless the strike is settled by Wednesday. Seventy thousand packages of fruit and potatoes are awaiting discharge. Trades have petitioned the Board I of Trade to intervene.
