The Masterton Boxing Qlub has now completed final arrangements for to-night's tournament,' and another successful meeting should-re-ward the Club's efforts: Every man I engaged in. the several contests is fit and well, and one of the best evening's sport yet seen in the Wiairarapa should result. Unusual interest has been aroused in Wellington by the match just arranged between, the New Zealand champions, Ken- a.nd ±*iiis, and this fight should produce an. exceptionally clever exhibition. Local sportsmen will no ' doubt be present, in large numbers to; see young Barr, the Wairarapabantam weight, try conclusions with the clever Hawke's Bay representative, J. Fergusson, and a very keen and even contest is predicted. The. v touiiiament will open with the heavy weight contest, G. Sievers v. J. Lawrence, and a lively five rounds may be expected. F. Maloney, the local instructor, will keep "Danny" MurI phy, the New Zealand welter eham- ' pion, busy for fifteen rounds, and ' the entire programme should be brimful of interest. Doors open at 7.30, and only ringside seats will be reserved.
