THOMPSON»PAYNE PICTURES. Another large audience witnessed the screening of the new programme at the Foresters' Hall last evening, the series submitted containing a variety «f excellent subjects. The dramas wlere particularly good, the acting in each being of a finished character, and the scenery and surroundings' Buperfe. "The Sergeant's Daughter" was a strong military subject, oontainiag a powerful plot, and. depicting "Tommy Ajfckins" in many pibasies of has life. "The Bedeemed Qriminal" told a stirring tale of a great jewel robbery, the wrongful accusation of an innocent man being faithfully and realistically pourtrayed. "Virginia," a magnificent creation set amidst glorious scene® and dressings, and dealing with a historical incident in ancient days, contained a deep and well thought out plot. "Count Calvert's Crime" was a tragedy surrounded in mystery, while. "Young Henry's Adventure" was another very interesting drama. "The Champion. Swordsmian of the British Army" showed that individual performing some marvellous feats with the sword. A delightful drama was en- . titled "Water LilSes." "Historic) London" showed the audience all the ■ anient placets-of : grandeur in 1 tWy feat city of the world, while in "The : Royal Mint" is seen the coinage of the Emp're's money Jrom start to finish. ."_*The'.bir4lt .•dc :3nbwiers" Via a beautiful floral study, and appealed ' "Liquid l Air" was an interesting scientfic picture. "Ah Eneany of the Diu&t," "TwieedlediUm x is Late," "Whiffles as Impostor," and "The Bewitched Restaurant" were particularly good comics.
