A BUSH TRAGEDY.
SEQUEL TO A QUARREL. Received This Morning, 12.15 o'clock. PERTH, June 25. Another bush tragedy is reported. Three timber-getters named Smith, Butler, and "Wake were camped at Kellerberrin. Smith quarrelled with the others and left. He returned to the camp, where Butler was preparing dinner, and struck him on the a mattock, knocking Him into the fire, * ' A,fourth man tried to pull him'out, 'Smith Struck him and forced him to desist, but without seriously .injuring him. A search resulted in the discovery, of Wake in the bush with his head terribly battered. Butler and Wake were removed to the Northern Hospital, but neither are expected to, recover. Smith, carrying the mattock with which he committed the deed to the polico station, surrendered.
