AMUSEMENTS.
THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES. Another packed house greeted the current programme at the Foresters' Hall last evening. In addition to the "star" atraction—a capital picture depicting sensational incidents in the career of the famous notorious Australian bushranger, Ben Hall—a. number of excellent dramas were presented, the best being "The American and the Queen" (a thrilling story) and "Herodius" (a magnificent biblical picture). In comedy drama, ' Ter First Long Dress," and "Ton,my gets a trumpet," were two of the finest studies ever seen in Masterton. "Sardinia" was a picturesque scenic, while "The Pathe Gazette" placed the news of the world pictorially before The reniairider of the subjects went to make up a capital programme, which will lie presented for the last time to-night. The children's matinee will take place at 2.3(31 this afternoon^
