CALEDONIAN SOCIETY.
ANNUAL INGLESIDE. The Wairarapa Caledonian Societv held its annual Ingleside in the Drill Hall, Mastertoh, last night, when there was a very large attendance. Owing to the date of the function, having fallen on Coronation Day the interior of the building was handsomely decorated with British flags. The bare walls were relieved by clumps of evergrens, which had been tastefully arranged by the ladies' committee. Mrs J. B. McKenzie, President, and f Miss Gillespie, Vice-President and Secretary, at the head of a committee consisting of Mesdames G. W. Sellar, A. Mutrie, R. W. Robson, A. McLeod, G. Stewart, J. Pauling, and several other voluntary workers, are to be congratulated .upon the lenoe of their decorati6ns. The floor was in perfect order, and very choice music was supplied by Messrs' F. McKenzie and R. Ward. The complete arrangements, which contributed so largely towards the success of the function, were due to the untiring energy of the Secretary, Mr W. Gillespie, who had been working hard for the last week or two. The evening was varied by musical and vocal itemsby several ladies and gentlemen. A sumptuous supper was provided by the ladies committee, who handled the crowd with comparative ease. Praise is also due to Messrs J. H. P. Jorgensen, and G. Stewart, who very ably carried out the duties of M.C.'s. Everybody spent a most enjoyable evening, and ,the gathering entirely eclipsed all previous gatherings of the kind
