EDUCATION BOARD WARDS.
The representation of the various portions of the Wellington, Education District upon the Board of Education does not appear to be quite equitable at present. There are, in all, 160 in tixe district. Of this mumiber eighty-nine, or more than half, are in the Waifarapa WiaaxL. The Wiairarapa ihjas. only three representatives on- the Board, for its eigMy-nine schools, wfhilst the I'amaindier of the distriot has six members to represent seventy-one SiQhools. Wellington City, whidh has tlhree representatives, does hot possess a score of schools. This hardly seems a fair adjustment. Wellington and the West Coast might reasonably be thrown into one; the Hutt and Lower Wairanapa be amalgamated; and Masterton and the Forty-Male Buslh be made a separate Ward. This would give tlie sixty-four schools north, of Masiterton, tlie three representatives to which they are justly entitled.
