The North Islaind Railway League came into existence scone twelve months ago Wu .ui a. great flourish of trumpets: It was composed entirely of delegates from Chambers of Commerce. These met at Paflmerftttm North arid formulated a scheme for the opening up of the Auckland district by railway. Pra<?tioally Boohing else was done, and the League has slept quietly for a whole jw.
