FEATHERSTON OBJECTS.

The people of Feathers-ton object to the petition of the Masterton Chamber of Commerce in favour of a deviation of the Rajmuta-ka railway. ;The reason for the objection is that it is proposed to bring , the line out somewhere in the neighbourhood of Woodßdde. From a Feathierjsixm point of view there is naturally good grounds for objection, and iifc would Tbe well if those who are promoting the movement for a deviation were to suggest gome way out of the difficulty. It does not seem at all reasonable that a township which has enjoyed railway facilities for years should lie suddenly deprived of them.
