To-morrow will be absolutely the last day upon which young men may register under the Defence Act. Those who default are .to be prosecuted forthwith. It is reported that a number of young .men in this and other districts intend defying the law in the matter. Some claim to have conscientious objections against miliftarisan of 'the conscription order, whilst others are too careless to register.
