0 THE COMMITTEE'S REPORT. OF A NON-COMMITTAL CHARACTER. Received This Morning, ££2o o'clock WASHINGTON, June 14. The Reciprocity Bill has been reported to the Senate in a non-com-mittal state, with Mr Root's amendment added. Several Senators filed minority reports, {some of which were favourable and some unfavourable. Mr Giore introduced an amendment providing for tihe placing on the free list of' Canadian flour, meat, and agricultural implements. He stated that he would not press the amendment if tihe Bill would thereby be jeopardised. Mr Meybum stated that 'the committee should be tied, whether the report was. adverse or otherwise. Figures showing imports of United States goods, supplied to the Senate's Finance Committee by Mr Ktiox, disclosed the fact that the Canadian remission of duties was nearly 3,250,000 dollars. Canada's imports into the United States did not increase last year.
