FORESTERS' LODGE
EUCHRE PARTY AND DANCE. The annual euchre party and dance of the Masterton Foresters' Lodge was held in the Exchange Hall last evening. A progressive euchre tournament occupied the first part of the evening, and proved most enjoyable. Miss Simonsen and Mr _J. Long won most games in the ladies' and gentlemen's sections respectively, while the "booby" prizes were awiarded to Mrs Keane and Mr H. Selby. The floor was afterwards cleared, and dancing was indulged in until the small hours of this morning. About forty couples took part. The floor was in good order, and excellent music was supplied by Mr Frank McKenzie. The success of the social was largely due to the efforts of Mr A. V. Faulknor, secretary of the social committee. His arrangements were perfect, and were carried out to the letter. A dainty supper was supplied by the Lodge, and altogether the function was quite as successful as its predecessors.
