AMUSEMENTS.
THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES. The second presentation of the current programme drew another, large audience to the JToresters' Hall last evening. The bill-of-fare is strong in dramatic subject's, wthich include two of the ever-popular cowboy series, viz., "The Silent Message" and "The New Boss of Bar X Ranch." Both pictures were of a thrilling nature, and were set amid appropriate scenery. "A Noble Sacrifice" and "The Master Mechanic" were very acceptable studies, the photography and acting being all. that could be desired. Two splendid comedy-dra-mas were shown—"A Simple Mistake" and "The Stuff Americans are Made Of,',' while lovers <$ scenery had -their tastes'', well catered for in "Mountain Scenery in Switzerland," "The Lakes of Nordland," and. 1 "A Bear Hunt in Malay" (the latter being beautifully coloured). A fine array of comics was shown. The, programme will be presented for the last time to-night.
