DAIRY STOCK SALE AT KONINI.
A reminder is given of the clearing, sale of. aairy stock ; to .be held at Konihi, near Pahiatua, on Wednesday next. Farmers requiring firstclass cows should not fail, to take advantage of this opportunity. Mr: Quirk is a widely recognised authority on dairying, and the marked success that has attended his efforts since establishing his herds may almost be described as phenomenal. Although Mr Quirk has not been so long established in the dairying industry in this district, as many of Ms neighbours, his selection of heifers has always been from the best strains only. The hulk of the cows to be offered on Wednesday are the pick out of those heifers, and Mr Quirk has been a strong advocate of testing and systematic culling, noth r ing unprofitable having been kept on the farm. The herds, one of fifty and one of seventy cows, are to be isoH separr ately, each herd at their separate milking sheds, which are about 30 chains apart, near the junction of the Manigamaire and Masterton roads, about one and a half miles from' The Mangamaire railway station. A large proportion, of the cows are in calf to the purebred Jersey bull "Harry I/auder," and are August and September ealvers. The sale will etart ahout 11 a.m., and luncheon will be provided. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., Dalgety and Co., Ltd., and the N.Z.'Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., are the Auctioneers. *
