THE SHEFFIELD CHOIR.
ARRIVES AT BRISBANE. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) BRISBANE, June 11. The Sheffield Choir arrived by the steamer Zealandia, and were welcomed by the Premrier and Mayor. Replying to the. addresses of welcome, Dr Coward, the conductor, said the dhoir had not come to Australasia to teach, but to add its quota to the development of the Imperial spirit by the means of song. Five thousand persons attended an open air concert in the Exhibition grounds tlhis afternoon.
The Exhibition Hall, was crowded at the concert at night, and the Choir was given an entfhusiastic reception .
The concert was a splendid success.
